''I am frequently asked where my ideas come from.  Truthfully, I get inspiration from everything around me.  My senses absorb the textures and shapes I see in everyday objects and often those sensory influences become the catalyst for my next projects.

It is one thing to imagine a beautiful scrapbook creation.  The challenge lies in actually putting it together.  There are two primary processes taking place whenever you create something.  First you have to recognize when a project looks right and second, you need to understand why.  Knowing why is critical so that you can pinpoint any necessary changes.  I think a lot of people know when something looks right, but far less can interpret the construction to determine what small item may be the culprit of a less than perfect design. Knowing why also involves understanding the human response to the elements used in any design.

However, I kept creating and learning until one day, I happened to be looking through pictures of my work from the year prior.  I was shocked by the difference and I hadn’t even realized the dramatic change during the time I was experiencing it.
