COLORFUL ANTIQUE KURDISH MAFRASH PANEL. MINT CONDITION!

ANTIQUE PERSIAN KURDISH FLAT-WOVEN MAFRASH END PANEL, Northern Khorasan Province along the Russian frontier region, Chehar Burj village area, possibly Qarajorlu tribe, early 20th century and in pristine perfect condition for the collector. The exact size is: 2'-0" x 2'-0" (61 x 61 cm). A wide array of natural dye colors was used for the weft-wrapping technique to create the overall lattice grid on this mafrash end panel. The panel shows no signs of wear and was, perhaps, a dowry item. Both the top and bottom ends have been sewn secure to prevent any loss of structure. This lovely tribal textile artifact is clean and collection ready. It will make a decorative statement as a small wall hanging or end table cover.
