LOCAL PICK UP (with no pick up fees) IS ALWAYS AN OPTION ON EVERY ITEM WE SELL.
We attempt to combine packing/shipping on auctions that end within 72 hours of each other. HOWEVER, please notify us that you are bidding on another item and DO NOT pay the original invoice. Once the item has shipped combined packing/shipping is no longer possible. It is not safe to package large numbers of china, pottery, or glass pieces together and we will always err on the side of caution.
Most of our items are fragile, vintage, antique, and many are one of a kind. We spend thousands of dollars per year on shipping and packing materials to ensure that these items reach their destinations safely. Almost all of them do, because we use such good packaging!
Note: recently there was a huge increase in shipping rates and insurance costs, from both the U.S. Post Office and UPS. Even so, we can not consider using less sturdy packaging because to do so would increase the number of items that would be damaged during shipment and our buyers would be disappointed.
We know that there are other sellers who charge less on shipping then we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders almost never arrive damaged. On the very rare times that they do, all our packages are fully insured AND Trackable. TRACKING AND INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN EVERY SHIPPING CHARGE. SHIPPING IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Shipping Calculators are provided on every item unless otherwise stated. There are no surprises. If you are not willing to pay the shipping amount for your location, don’t bid.
