This is a Conn 6M alto saxophone. It has VIII on the neck and body. The serial # is 291640. It was made in 1940. It has the neck with the undeslung octave key. It has the original lacquer which is about 75%. The pads and corks are newer and are in excellent condition. It is in adjustment and is totally playable as it is, but if you are a professional player, you may, or may not, want to get it adjusted to your individual preference. There are no dents in the neck. There are only 5 very small dents in the bow section. There are no other dents that I can find. There is the "Naked lady" engraving on the bell. On the bell it says "Made by C.G. Conn Ltd Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.". Overall the sax is in excellent condition, and if you consider its age, it is in near mint condition (except for the lacquer). The original case is in good condition. There is no mouthpiece. I have done my best to describe this saxophone accurately, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer them.
