| This specimen of a Michigan Copper replacement Agate in a Basalt matrix was collected at the Wolverine #2 Copper mine,Houghton county,Michigan. It is 3 3/16" x 2 3/8" x 2" and the Agate is 13/16" x 1/2" x ?,unknown,it is in the Basalt. In the milky white and translucent Chalcedony there are lots of Copper inclusions, some with Tenorite and some with Cuprite .The pink color is from microscopic Copper crystals and there are a few microscopic Silver flecks about the Agate. There is a nice oval pocket of translucent Chalcedony,I guess you could call it an eye.The Agate has been polished in place in the Basalt matrix. The base has been cut so it sets well for display.Buyer pays all shipping by zip or postal codes and insurance if requested. Thanks for looking and look at our store for other mineral specimens and more. |
