William Lashner is a graduate of Swathmore College and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. He served in the criminal division of the United States Justice Department before entering private practice with his father in Philadelphia. He now lives with his family in Pennsylvania and writes full time.

Peter Francis James has starred in numerous Broadway and off-Broadway productions, as well as on such television programs as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, New York Undercover, and State of Affairs.
