About the artist: My name is Lara Harris. I am an artist originally from Northville, Michigan.
I recently moved back to Michigan after living in Australia for over a year with my husband and our 2 dogs.
I have been drawing and painting all my life and have taken a few classes over the years, but I am primarily
a self-taught artist. Originally accepted at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, I chose to go into teaching instead.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Michigan, and taught for
nearly 6 years. Since being married I have now been able to pursue my art full-time. My work
is in private collections in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. I have done some commissioned work
as well. Although I have had no formal training in art, I believe much of my ability has been
a true gift from God.
