Cleaning out the closets and I can't stand to look at these just sitting around not being fished anymore. $500 bucks for 4 rods, 4 reels w/the appropriate lines and a carrying case. Just add flies and big fish. First is an L.L. Bean waxed cotton fly rod and reel carrying case for traveling with ease to your destination. Then I have a 7 wt Colton Tradewinds rod that is 8.5 feet long and a 4 piece (it's supposed to be 9 feet but the tip-top broke. it still casts very well and is a little more powerful now with the shortened length). Very nice cork, all saltwater safe hardware and the Colton 7/9 CRG3 reel loaded with backing and a Scientific Anglers 7 wt Redfish line and leader. The reel has a sealed cork drag that is smooth and easily adjustible (it is the reel on the far left in the pics). Next is the Cabela's 8 wt XST rod that is 9 feet long and four piece and very fine redfish/bonefish/and carp rod...yes I said carp...caught them all summer long in my pond on this rod and reel set-up. The reel is a Cabela's SR2 carbon fiber disk drag that is also very smooth loaded with backing and an Airflo 8 wt saltwater line. The rod is the blue one on top and the reel is on the far right. Next is the Colton 9/11 wt Leviathan rod. It is 9 feet long and 4 piece and a beast of a rod. It has a 9 wt tip section tapered to an 11 weight butt section. This gives the rod incredible power and throws the tightest loops you've seen. Use this one for tarpon in the Keys. Paired with that rod is the Colton 810 Torrent reel with backing and a Scientific Angler's 9 wt bonefish line. The reel is brand new, not fished with a completely sealed cork disk drag. Twice the drag, in fact, of an $800 Tibor. This rod is the blue one at the bottom and the reel is the black reel second from the right. And lastly is the Colton Tradewinds 10 wt rod that is also 9 feet long and 4 pieces. Great permit rod. Combined with the Colton 9/11 CRG3 reel and backing and a Scientific Angler's 10 wt saltwater line and you are ready for Florida or the Bahamas or Mexico. Reel is the same as the 7/9 reel, but with a little more room for backing and a larger line, but same drag. This rod is the one just below the reels and the reel is the second one from the left. Thanks for checking them out. This is a great deal. Retail for this entire package would be well over $1500 new. Don't pass it up! On Nov-02-09 at 06:33:08 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: The Colton Leviathan 9/11 weight rod and the Torrent 810 reel are BRAND NEW, NEVER FISHED. Just lawn cast. That combo alone is worth over $500. On Nov-05-09 at 09:50:08 PST, seller added the following information: One more thing: ALL OF THE ORIGINAL ROD TUBES WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED. |
