I have a 5" cable tool carbide button bit for sale. It is made to be used on a cable tool drilling rig. I believe it is made by Varel. Thats what the box has on it. The bit is stamped; 540320 and 2031. It has 1 5/8" X 2 5/8" - 7 API threads.
It is new old stock and has never been used. The threads are near perfect with no rust and a very few small nicks, but you will have to look close to see them. The body of the bit is a solid steel forging for long lasting superior strength. There are 18 carbide buttons on the face and 14 reaming buttons. The center two buttons on the face are in a slightly concave recess. It may be called a drop center bit. Local pickup is OK. I would prefer a check, money order or cash at pickup as payment.
