Calstar 40-100lb Aftco Wind On Guides Alutecnos Butt

This rod is built with the Calstar 40-100 lb 6465 XH blanks, one of the most popular Calstar stand up blanks ever manufactured.  The over all length is 5 foot 5 inches with the Alutecnos short bent butt attached. This rod also features the Aftco wind on guides for larger poundage line and greater knot clearance.  

The Bigfoot Aftco Wind On guides are black with silver rollers. Each guide is under wrapped in black to insure no guide to blank contact, then each guide is attached with 4 layers of D size black thread, for maximum strength. 

The fore grip is the 13 inch triangular grip, we had manufactured to our specification. This grip has a great transition from the butt to the rod blank. The triangular shape will help you to keep the rod from twisting and turning in your hand when under stress. The triangular shape is much easier and more comfortable to hold during prolonged battles then the standard round grip. We believe this fore grip is ideal for this style rod.  

The butt is and Alutecnos short bent butt in black and silver .. a little different color set up .. the butt is black and the hoods and nuts are silver .. It is unique and really very good looking.

The rod has a small black, silver and red fancy wrap between the first and second guide.

  If the specific rod you are requesting is not in stock, the normal time to craft and ship the rod is approximately 10-14 days.

The design and manufacturing process of Albacore reel stems   from a collaborative effort involving all of the staff at Alutecnos. A commitment aimed not only at improving the technological  content, but  also at paying attention to design. The result is a  product  that stands out for aesthetic and technical aspects  with  outstanding attention to details. Such details include the  infinite "anti reverse"  system  applied  to trolling  reel for the first time. The frontal cam and lock release button for placing  the  automatically  rearming gear  lever  into  "free" or "full" mode.  Five  bearings  and gears made from tempered stainless steel guarantee further resistance from corrosion. The system  for  anchoring  the  reel to  the rod is robust and reliable using four anchor screws.  The  drag washer is made from  the latest  carbon  composite  and  is  appropriately  protected to ensure  smooth and consistent  use  during  the  most  intense battles,  the  occurrence of "stick-slip" is  virtually eliminated.  All of  the  aluminium parts  have  been  buffed ultrasonically cleaned,  polished  and  anodized  with a gold or silver finish. All  of the  parts have  been  machined  from  bars  using  CNC working  processes and are subjected to rigorous dimensional and quality control checks. Particular attention  is  paid  to processing cycles  and  the careful selection of the highest quality  of  raw  materials  and components available. The results in a  technically  perfect product.

The special assembly technique permits all screws (made exclusively from stainless steel AISI 316) to be loosened even after long periods in harsh marine environments. The graphic are applied using computerised laser technology. Eleven models are available from 12 to 80/130 lbs all in right and left  hand version.
