Cambridge CANARY Glass Prism Counter Sign pre 1958

This auction is for one glass counter sign. It says “Cambridge Glass” on it.

The lettering is inlaid with gold paint.

It is Canary yellow. Just over 2 – ½” wide, each face is 1 – 3/16”.

No chips, knicks, or any damage.

I am listing three of these in different colors today on separate auctions.

While I am no stranger to old glassware, I am not a Cambridge expert.

I believe these to be unique based on the fact that;

1 - They came out of an estate that most of the items were old.

2 - They are not the same as the new reproductions by Mosser Glass.

In my limited amount of research on these I noticed that what I was able to find were souvenirs of Cambridge Collectors national convention that were produced from an original Cambridge glass mold by Mosser Glass Co., of Cambridge, OH. However, as you can see, they are not quite the same. The easiest way to tell is to compare the “G” in the word “Glass”. In the Mosser version the G is a closed circle, where these are open.

Secondly, the font is more delicate on the old ones I have.

• Flat Fee auctions; I will adjust fee lower if actual fee is considerably less.
• Packing materials and handling are FREE unless specified otherwise in the auction description.

I pack items for successful journeys.

RETURNS: On lower end items I offer no returns / refunds. However, you can return it for a full refund if misrepresented. On antiques that sell for $200 to $300.00 on up, I guarantee your satisfaction. Ask if not sure.
