Cambridge Stereoscan 120

You are bidding on one Used Cambridge Stereoscan 120 Scanning Electron Microscope in UNKNOWN functional condition.  This auction includes the following equipment:

• Cambridge Stereoscan 120 S/N 120-03-06 (308 lbs, control console)
• Kevex-Ray 3200-0080 (integral with microscope chamber, 413 lbs)
• Kevex Fision Delta-1 (176 lbs)
• Zeiss Kontron SEM-IPS Image Processing System (2-PCS) 191 lbs
• Zeiss Kontron MCP Microscope Control Processor (stacked with above item for weight)

We have done basic power-on testing on most of this hardware.  We have NOT plugged in and tested the microscope chamber itself, as we have no safe means of handling equipment which produces X-ray radiation.

The Stereoscan 120 control console powers on, but the monitors for it do not power on.  We found the monitor power leads were unplugged, we plugged them in, but the monitors still do not power on.  We do not know the cause for this.  There could be other leads disconnected that we are not able to find, or there could be some other problem in the unit or the monitors.  Some of the lights on this console do come on (the scan-angle display lights up and can be changed via knob input, and when the camera button is pressed, it lights up briefly)

The larger of the two units labeled "SEM-IPS" powers on and smells like burning circuitry.  The smaller unit bearing the same label powers on and does not smell like burning circuits.

The MCP unit powers on and runs.

The Delta-1 unit powers on and runs.

BUYER TAKE NOTICE: We are unable to do any testing beyond powering the various pieces of equipment on.  We do not know the connections to set this microscope up.  We are entirely unable to guarantee working status of this microscope and/or its assorted parts.
