THOUGHTS ON COLLECTING RAILROAD PASSENGER TIMETABLES By S. F. Simmonds The Passenger Railroad Timetable since its beginning, has served the traveling public with the most current, up to date information available on the services offered by the issuing railroad. As well as train times and station stops, long haul railroads often included advertisements on their routes and destinations in hopes of gaining customer travel. On the same token, short line railroads and commuter lines included current advertising on what to see and do in the BIG CITY they served. And, right up to today, nothings changed in the timetable nomenclature. The information is still current until replaced by a newer issue. The collecting Railroad Passenger Timetables is much more than saving old and outdated, discarded pieces of informational paper. It is saving the historical documentation of the building of a country, with factual representation. A single timetable, say from 1910, will offer a snapshot of the specific area the rail line serves. However, when you own sequential issues of a timetable with the same Form Number, you begin to see much more historical information. Population growth and decline become evident as well as the railroad's own history. 4. SHIPPING, HANDLING & INSURANCE rates for this auction are quoted for shipment within the United States only.
5. We ship all items 5 pounds and under through the U. S. Postal Service at Priority Mail rates, with Delivery Confirmation Receipt cost added.
6. Items weighing above 5 pounds are shipped at Parcel Post rates to your zoned location.

10. Third Party Shipping Insurance is OFFERED on every domestic transaction, which will provide a full refund of the "Original" purchase price, shipping, handling and insurance fees, when the item arrives damaged, caused by a common carrier shipper.
11. Minimum handling fee of $1.50 is included in shipping charge for every item purchased. Larger items and items requiring extra packing will be slightly more.
