These designs are compatible with the Candlewick & Satin Series as they also include a combination of candlewicking, lacework, and satin stitch. There are 10 basic designs shown in the panel at the top, but from those 10 basic designs, I developed a border, a megaborder, and a frame or medallion arrangement. This set is to coordinate with the series of Candlewick & Satin Heirloom Quilt Squares, but they are less dense designs than the quilt blocks. If you have not worked with candlewick designs, they are like French knots done by hand, except that when done by machine, they do not come out :) and the knots of each style all look exactly alike. I love the heirloom effect they give a design, and the various stitches here provide texture even when the design is monochromatic. They are lovely done in tone on tone, or whitework; I have displayed them in 2 soft tones so you more readily see the detail of the stitching.  One customer plans to use these on her daughter's wedding dress and they are also appropriate for lingerie, Christening gowns, linens, or embellishment on clothing for a unique, heirloom effect.

I have combined the designs in a separate panel for each design so you can get the effect of how the various forms of the basic design combine.  Please note the designs labeled A and B at the bottom of each panel are formed by placing the 4 corner designs as arranged-which will require rehooping though you can customize each design into 2 halves. The A and B arrangements would have a beautiful effect as the center panel of an heirloom quilt, or the center of a tablecloth or table topper. The corner designs are supplied in 3 sizes: 4x4, 5x7, and megahoop, so you have much flexibility with size for a project using the A and B arrangements.  With this set you will receive a border and megaborder for each design, the corner in 3 sizes, and the frame or medallion in 3 sizes. The set contains 8 variations of each design, or 80 designs. PLEASE NOTE: Only the small corner will fit the 4x4 hoop, all other designs require the 5x7, megahoop, or gigahoop (200 x 200 mm).
