Borders, Corners, and Frames
for 5x7 or larger hoops

This set is to coordinate with the series of Candlewick & Satin Heirloom Quilt Squares.  The 10 designs are supplied in 2 sizes of borders, 2 sizes of corners, and I have combined the larger corners to form frames. The frames are below the borders and corners, and I have displayed some monograms to show you how nicely they work.  The lettering is not included in this set, but any elegant  monogram will work well. The frames can also be used as a coordinating set of quilt blocks with the other 2 sets. There are 3 sizes of frames and the dimensions vary but the smallest is for 5x7 and the largest is for gigahoop (200 x 200 mm). The small corners can also be combined to form a smaller frame--the small corners fit the 4x4 hoop. All other designs of this set require a 5x7 hoop or larger. These also offer a combination of candlewicking, lacework, and satin stitch. If you have not worked with candlewick designs, they are like French knots done by hand, except that when done by machine, they do not come out :) and the knots of each style all look exactly alike. I love the heirloom effect they give a design. I have displayed these in 2 or 3 colors-soft mauve and teal. I have stitched the Candlewick & Satin series in white and pale peach, and they are stunning. They look beautiful just stitched on muslin-they would make a beautiful baby quilt.  These are also beautiful done tone on tone, as the various stitches used provide much texture even when done in monochromatic style. Those also would make a beautiful quilt.  They are also beautiful done in Christmas colors, or in silver & gold-they offer any number of creative possibilities for holiday decorating and gift giving.  There are 70 designs total in this set-7 variations for each of the 10 basic designs.
