Canoe trolling motor mount - Choice of Finish - Doweled

 Your choice of finish Black, Stained or Camo.  You are bidding on one new solid Oak and Ash hardwood canoe motor mount in your choice of finish. This is a heavy duty mount. The top brace isn't your typical stock lumber that's 3/4" thick. It's red oak that's over 1-1/16"  thick to help minimize vibration and add to a smooth ride. The mounting block is 1 7/8" thick Ash for strength. If Ash is good enough not to dent Louisville Sluggers, its good enough for me when cranking down on motor bolts. It's joined with three 1/2" diameter oak dowels and water proof glue on all mating surfaces for a strong, water tight, no rust, clean, smooth construction. This baby's strong.  A motor big enough to snap 3 glued dowels on this mount will sink the canoe first .

Camo or Black is coated with 1 coat of primer and 2-3 coats of exterior enamel. The stained mount is stained then coated with 2 coats of exterior polyurethane for superior weather resistance. That'll keep the water out but here's the good part...The star-handle bolts with insert nuts in the bottom brace makes installing easy. Get the star handle bolts started in the mount & bottom brace, fit it up to the canoe and its a 1 hand operation from there. This is especially important when checking tightness out on the water. No two hand stuff when your out there floating.   Wood construction looks sharp and is easy on the gunwales. It is light weight at around 7 lbs and approx 28" long, it's an easy, comfortable reach to the throttle that has a full range of motion. This mount will work on most canoes. It works on mine should work on yours.
