I believe that this was once the top half of a calendar. If so, the calendar is long gone. What is here is a nice advertizing plaque for the Farmers State Bank of Canton South Dakota SD. It measures 6 X 8" in total, and the center area is 4 X 4". The frame is made of plastic, and the picture is what looks like a shinny piece of paper. The picture shows a red one room school house. The teacher is ringing her bell, signaling that recess is over, and the playing children should come in. There is a hand pump in the yard, and of course our American flag waving in the breeze! No mention of an artist. I found no cracks on the frame.
