Item Background (General)

O.K. Superhero fans. Here's the one and only Captain Action!! Before Mego was even a thought, Ideal's answer to the ever popular GI Joe, Captain Action was the first action figure that was truly action. Prior to this, superhero figures were relegated to army men type of figures (check out the Marx line of statues and Ideal's one playset figures) and tin wind up toys. Amazingly, Ideal was able to pull off what could be almost impossible today - a cross licensing of characters from both DC (Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Robin), Marvel (Spiderman, Captain America, Sgt. Fury), and other popular characters (read Green Hornet, Buck Rogers, Lone Ranger, etc). And now this entry….the scarce Captain Action in photo box!!

Captain Action Photo Box: 100% original.

Captain Action, himself, is nice with tight limbs - no hair wear!

Uniform is nice…decal has all 3 points! Scarce to find with points intact.

Accessories - sealed. Yes, still sealed in original package.

Box…nice with less than typical age wear- displays beautifully.

We believe this to have never been played with.

Nice tough, vintage set…pretty cool picture of the Captain standing on a fallen Dr. Evil's chest!

True old stock. Never used. Contents near mint. Chest decal retains ALL 3 arrow head point extensions - RARE! Accessories still sealed in 'Hong Kong' labeled bag. Original (almost always missing) cardboard insert! Scarcest box version is nice and solid with no split or repaired corners - but does have litho tear near 'Action' in header and general litho wear/aging. Hard to get a nicer one!!

Note: We've had a recent rash of people using the Buy It Now option and THEN asking questions post sale. PLEASE PLEASE ask all questions PRIOR to using the Buy It Now option. Also...EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS INCLUDED IN PICTURES. IF IT'S NOT IN THE PICTURE, IT'S NOT INCLUDED.

- In the effort to provide you with greatest possible amount of knowledge regarding our items, we use extreme close ups. This does tend to over accentuate dust and minor flaws. Please make a note that our items almost always look much better in person.

- Items factory sealed 30, 40 or more years ago, will often come apart from their backings/ties due simply from age (not abuse). If this has occurred prior to our receiving the item, we will make note of this during the listing description. However, if it occurs during shipping/transit, the shipper WILL NOT reimburse and we CANNOT be held accountable for this occurrence and cannot take a return on the item.

- We realize our terms are somewhat long winded. Unfortunately, it is the 1% of bidders that cause 99% of our aggravation - and has made it necessary to spell everything little thing out. If you are part of the 99%, you'll find us fair, extremely reasonable, and you'll appreciate the extremes we will go to to resolve any issues. However, if any of our terms are unacceptable to you, PLEASE DON'T BID/BUY.

PAYMENT

At L & L Collectables, customer convenience is a high priority. Feel free to pay with your credit card through PayPal, or if you prefer the personal touch, feel free to call us at (408) 998-5942. You may even email the credit card info (best practice is to break the data up into multiple emails). If snail mail is your preference, we take money orders and, even, personal checks (will hold up shipment for 7 - 10 business days).

All California residents will be charged 8.75% sales tax - unless you can provide a valid resale number.

If you decide to pay via PayPal, we will ONLY ship to a PayPal confirmed address. Sorry, no exceptions!! If you wish to ship to a non-confirmed address, there are other options. Please check with us for all the options before bidding.

Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of auction. If payment isn't received within 7 days, the auction will be revoked and a Non-Paying Bidder alert will be filed. We ALWAYS leave negative feedback for deadbeat bidders!

SHIPPING - Domestic (Continental USA)

Buyer pays $10 shipping & insurance (see note below). (Contiguous US Only!)

Order will be shipped via UPS Ground if within the contiguous US. Therefore, we will need a street address (no P.O. Box) for shipping. If you have need to ship to a P.O. Box, please contact us before you bid. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico will be shipped via USPS (email for exact cost). For very light, inexpensive items, USPS may be used.

Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping charges.

For your protection, ALL items with sale price of $250.00 or greater will require signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to make sure that someone is present to sign for the package.

Please Note: We require all buyers to insure their items. For UPS shipping, insurance is included in price quoted. For USPS, insurance will be calculated at the time of checkout. DAMAGED ITEMS: We take great care to package every item in the best possible way to ensure safe shipment to you. In the unlikely event of damage, please contact us immediately. Please save all original packaging. Items damaged in transit are not our responsibility. You must file the claim with the shipper - however, we will assist you in filing the claim. You must notify us within 3 days of receiving the item. Additionally, you must keep ALL original packing intact. We do NOT issue any refunds on claims until the shipper has PAID the claim in full. If the shipper does not collect damaged item, it is at our discretion as to whether or not damaged item needs to be returned to us.

RETURNS

L & L Collectables Return Policy:

We do our best to present accurate, detailed information about every item we sell. It is our desire to provide strong customer satisfaction and a very positive experience for our customers. However, it is the responsibility of the bidder to carefully review all item photos and description and ask appropriate questions. With this in mind, we do realize that differences of opinions can occur. We, too, tire of other sellers' 'you bought it, too bad' attitude. Therefore, we do offer unconditional returns. Here's specific return rules:

Please alert us that you wish to return the item. The item must be postmarked back to us within 5 days of receipt and in the exact condition it was sent out it. Refunds fall into the following categories:

Buy It Now or Fixed price purchases - 100% refund of bid price
Standard Auction - auction ending bid price less 15% restocking fee or $10 whichever is greater. We will, and have, refunded 100% of bid price if item was significantly not as described or has had a serious omission (at our discretion).
As-Is lots - sorry, these are special lots and we do NOT accept returns on these.

If a return is needed, the buyer must contact us by email at auction@landlcollectables.com or by phone at (408) 998-5942. Buyers are responsible for ALL return shipping and insurance costs. Insurance is required and must cover the eBay final sale.

We will leave negative feedback for any buyer leaving us unwarranted negative feedback and will block any bidder who abuses our Return Policy or who is a non-paying bidder.
