Photograph Description

This is a photograph I took in 2004 on the grounds of Taunton State Hospital.

This Photograph is of the CareTakers House behind the Main Kirkbride Hospital.

This building has since been destroyed by bulldozer and leveled.

A fire has destroyed the main Kirkbride building of the main complex.

As with most of these beautiful Historic Kirkbride Buildings it

may soon fall to the wrecking ball or fire.

This Print is 11 x 14 exhibition grade photo paper semi matt handmade by  me

in my darkroom and heat mounted on acid free black foam core mounting board.

Matting is black and acid free.

Over all size is: 16 x 20.  Print size is: 11 x 14.

The print was made from an Infrared negative.

The  Photograph is Signed by Me, Cyril Place.

This Photo was part of a show called:

"Asylum Architecture The Vision of Thomas Story Kirkbride"

This photograph was on exhibit in many shows from 2004 to 2006.
