Ernest Trice Thompson (1895-1985), Texas Presbyterian theologian, author, historian, led movement that reunited Southern and Northern Presbyterian Churches, wrote the majority of Book of Church Order. BIOGRAPHY: Daniel Walker Hollis (1922-2007), South Carolina historian, author, professor, wrote Look to the Rock, South Carolina, the Civil War and Reconstruction, and History of Saint Andrews and the Dutch Fork. Carl Thomas Julien (1897-1977), South Carolina photographer, works include Look to the Rock, Architects of Charleston, Beneath So Kind A Sky, Sea Islands to Sand Hills, Plantation Room, and Pee Dee Panorama. Robert Lewis Dabney (1829-1898), Virginia Presbyterian theologian, preacher, statesman, writer, social critic, a Richmond Union Seminary professor, Stonewall Jackson’s chief of staff, wrote Systematic Theology.
