Presented here for consideration is a striking Carlton Ware Handcraft Vase hand decorated with the Shamrock motif on a matt cream ground. Shamrock (pattern number 3235) went into production in circa 1929. This classic ART DECO pattern is from the heart of the Art Deco years.

This impressive vase has a Carlton Ware script style maker’s mark of the style that was in use from 1925 – it is not marked handcraft, but this is a Handcraft pattern. The pattern number 3235 is hand written clearly on the base in black ink. This is a very early Handcraft pattern. As it is very RARE I believe that it was more than likely only in production for a few weeks some time in the first half of 1928.

  • Dimensions

This striking vase strides in at a proud 13.5 cm (5.4”) tall and it has a diameter at its broadest of 11.5 cm (4.5”).

  • Condition

It is in EXCELLENT condition; the colours are strong and vibrant and there are NO chips, cracks, stains or repairs and NO crazing.

This pattern is just so very ART DECO – it reminds me of the work being done by Clarice Cliff during the same period. Hit the BUY IT NOW tab and make sure that this striking bowl is not pilfered out from under your nose.
