Presented here for consideration is a PRISTINE Carlton Ware Hazelnut Vase. You don’t see this pattern very often – it has the pattern number 3946 which was introduced in 1935 and going by how rare it is to now find an example of this pattern I would hazard a guess that it was only in production for a very short time.

It is my belief that this Hazelnut pattern is a fore runner to the embossed hazelnut pattern that was introduced in the mid 1950’s. It is clearly marked to the base with the Carlton Ware script mark that was in use from 1925 and the pattern number 3946 is written on the base by hand in black ink.

Dimensions

It strides in at 15.6 cm (6.15”) tall and it has a diameter at its broadest of 13 cm (5.2”).

 

Condition 

It is in AS NEW condition, with NO chips, cracks, stains or repairs and NO crazing. This sweet heart has obviously only ever known the easy life of a cabinet dweller.

This is a very RARE and very sweet pattern – these are very few and far between.  Don't miss out on this unusual and rare pattern.
