Presented here for consideration is a Carlton Ware Rouge Royale vase. This magical vase is glazed in ever popular Rouge Royale Lustre glaze while the inside is glazed in a mother of pearl lustre.

It has the black stamped under glaze makers’ mark of the style that was in use from 1951 until 1961. Impressed into the base is the shape number “1616. It also has a partial black and silver paper label – it is very rare to find one of these labels.

  • Dimensions

This outstanding vase measures in at 14cm (5.5”) across at the broadest and stands 14 cm (5.5") tall.

  • Condition

It is in EXCELLENT condition, there are no chips, cracks, repairs or stains. There is just a HINT or wear to the rouge finish and to the gilding – if 10 is perfect with no wear I would class this as a 9.5. There are only just a couple of craze lines on the base - nothing at all really.
