Presented here for consideration is a magical Carlton Ware Vert Royale Ashtray hand painted with the striking New Mikado motif. I am particularly fond of the Vert glaze, the mottled effect gives it so much depth.

It has the black stamped Vert Royale mark that was in use from 1951 until 1961. Impressed into the base is the shape number “1683”.

  • Dimensions

This magical ashtray measures 14 cm (4”) by 8.8 cm (3.5”) and it is 3 cm (1.25”) tall.

  • Condition

It is in EXCELLENT condition; there are no chips, cracks, repairs or stains and NO crazing. There is no wear to the Mikado pattern, but there is a touch of wear to the gilding on the cigarette rests. This has obviously led the privileged existence of a cabinet dweller.

This is a very collectable pattern on a bold and striking Vert Royale back-ground. Hit the BUY IT NOW tab and make sure this beauty gets to call your display cabinet its next home.
