Welcome to White Tideline Designs, handcrafted jewelry-as-art! Each piece is designed and handmade by me in my San Francisco Bay Area studio.

Several weekends back we went to Carmel on a quick day trip. There is *something* about Carmel, a beautiful other worldliness which begins as you drive down Ocean Avenue. The colorful locals, the hanging flower baskets, the old pine trees, the posh shops including my favorite - the Coach bag shop (has a wonderful clearance section) and finally ending at the world's most beautiful village beach, especially at sunset. It is like entering a different world, set so apart from the common reality and it is nice to step into that world, if only for an hour or two which is why Carmel is the muse behind this piece, yet again.

The focal lampwork beads are by the esteemed artist, Stephanie of ShotofGlass, a glass artist I have only recently discovered. These are the beads of summertime at the beach; white on clear with scrolls & dots of white set against the turquoise stones and two lampwork beads by Melanie of GlassValley - turquoise & soft lime with dots in a retro design.

With such lovely lampwork beads in hand I wanted to create a piece for the summertime; for parties on decks overlooking the sea, silver with sunshine. As some of you know, I have recently taken a road less travelled in my design work and fallen in love with the natural beauty of semi-precious gemstones. I love their earthiness and their natural shine when cut and faceted just the right way. And I love how they combine with lampwork beads, created by premier glass and torch artists. I have finally found a first rate stone seller who offers flawless (albeit pricey) stones from around the world.

Within the composition of 'Carmel Beach, II' you will find extraordinary turquoise briolettes from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona. Considered sacred by the Najavo, the turquoise mined here is considered some of the finest in the world.

The stones you will find as companions to the lampwork beads are:

Also tumbled into the gorgeous chaos of the piece is a sterling silver sea turtle from Thai's Hilltribe artists, furnace glass beads in retro blues and turquoise by David Christensen, lots of Swarovski crystals (including a half moon & star fish crystal), Bali spacers and a stunning sterling charm of a sand bucket and shovel in the sand. An ornate Bali silver toggle completes 'Carmel Beach, II' which measures approximately 7.5 inches in length and can be resized at no additional charge.

Custom bracelets (and bracelet-watches) are an option available to you. If you have a look, theme or color scheme you would like, please let me know. I would be happy to work with you to design a piece using lampwork artisan beads of your choosing from my current selection. Custom pieces usually take 1 week to design and create. Depending upon lampwork and sterling components used, custom bracelets in this style cost between $195-295. If you would like to pursue a custom order, I will create (just for your use) a custom eBay auction accordingly so that we abide by eBay rules and I keep them 'in the loop.'

Payment by Paypal is preferred (all forms), however a check is fine with a 10 day hold as is a money order. Please contact me within 3 days of auction end to arrange payment. If you should need lay-away (in order to pay in installments), I can work with you. It is not a problem. I will send your piece after the final payment is made.

Shipping is $4.70 by Priority Mail for US bidders.

Shipping to Canada is the same as shipping within the USA ~ but instead using Airmail.

Shipping to Europe (and most foreign destinations) is usually most economical for $6.15 USD.

Of course, I DO combine shipping! As an incentive for my boutique clothing auctions, each additional purchase is just $1.00 more for shipping providing everything is packaged and shipped together.

I'd like to encourage the purchase of insurance at $1.45 per each $50.00 since I can't be held responsible for items once they leave my possession and I am no longer in control. Insurance will protect you against lost items and provides a mail tracking means. I have only ever had one item 'lost' in the mail, but once is one time too many for me not to add extra caution to my auction listings.
