You are bidding on one plant. SIZE: OVER ONE INCH SIZE TRAPS. THE GIANTS OF THE FLYTRAP WORLD. These Giant Flytraps are young, and therefore, Medium in size, a bit above one inch size traps. HOWEVER, this trap size is actually the size of a typical fully grown adult venus flytrap. When these Giant Venus Flytraps reach adult size, the traps can grow up to 1.7" long! THAT IS LARGER THAN THE BIG MOUTH OR THE LOW GIANT. THESE PLANTS ARE NOT CLONES, AND THEY CAN NOT BE FOUND ANY PLACE ELSE BUT HERE. These plants where grown from seeds and picked from about a thousand plant seedlings for their robust size relative to the other seedlings. The seeds that these plants grew from came themselves from GIANT FLYTRAPS SUCH AS THE BIG MOUTH, BIG TRAPS, DINGLEY GIANT, AND BIG VIGROROUS VENUS FLYTRAPS. Furthermore, the plants also are growing not in a nursery with temperature control or folage feeding, they are growing outside by the hot sun in a tough environment, the same way you will grow them at home. They are quite exceptional plants. Great for the professional grower! I have not labeled them with any names, so THEY CAN BE GIVEN THEIR OWN NEW CULTIVAR NAMES. Please note that at this particular moment most of my Giant Venus Flytraps are coming out of dormancy and look smaller than they really are. However, they are growing fast and gaining a lot of red in their traps. PICTURE TWO SHOWS TWO GIANTS OF THE FLYTRAP WORLD. THE ONE ON THE LEFT IS A B52. THE ONE ON THE RIGHT IS ONE OF MY YOUNG RED GIANTS. THEY WERE BOTH THE SAME SIZE WHEN I PLANTED THEM. HOWEVER, THE YOUNG RED GIANT IS PASSING THE B52 IN SIZE AND VIGOR. The pots look dirty because sometimes it reains heavily, with large raindrops in Florida. So the soil gets tossed around when it rains sometimes.The intense red to red-purple colour of these plants appears when temperatures get cooler (fall, winter, spring are the best times) or when they are growing in fluorescent lighting. The bulb these plants grow usually reaches a size of about 1.5 to 2 full inches. This is a great factor if you want to separate the bulb to get another plant out of it. Strong, large bulbs also increase the survival chances of the plant coming out of dormancy the next season. A strong, large bulb also stores more energy for growing bigger and stronger the next season. These plants are sent bare root with easy to follow instructions on how to grow them.
