Up for auction is this wonderful Indian Pony, Carved by The Master carver Mr. Joe Leonard.  Mr. Leonard's talents go far beyond this beautiful carving.  He was commissioned by Disneyland Products to carve the 16 outer row standers for the Euro Disney Carousel in Europe.  Mr. Leonard has also been featured in many books and articles and most notably his work was displayed in the Book, "Carousel Artists", a book of contemporary carvers by Dennis DiPrima.  The Indian Pony head you are bidding on is number 4 of 50 pieces carved by Mr. Leonard.  It stands 14 1/2" tall x 12" long x 4" wide.  The base is 12"long x 8" wide x 2" high.  These original pieces were sold at $1,000.00 each.  I have put a low reserve on this #4 piece.  I personally obtained this piece from Mr. Leonard for my Carousel collection.  Good Luck and happy bidding.
