MAGNIFICENT JADEITE JEWELRY features 207 lots of jadeite jewelry offered for sale at Christie's Hong Kong on Monday, May 1, 1995.

Each lot is illustrated with absolutely superb color photo plates. Each is described according to its dimensions, dates, materials, provenance when known, signature or marks of maker (such as Tiffany and Cartier), any unusual features, and any inscriptions. Gemological information is given in terms of carats, cut, accompanying certifications. Each is labeled with an estimated price range in both U.S. and Hong Kong dollars. This fabulous collection is largely emerald green jadeite with a small number of coral. Pendants, necklaces, brooches, rings, earrings, watches and a rare red lacquer clock. The outstanding characteristics of each of these pieces are presented in breathtaking photographic plates for accurate identification. This collection must be seen to be appreciated, and if you are a collector of carved jade items, gemstones or jewelry, you will find this catalog a terrific addition to your reference library.
