Masterwork Interiors is offering for auction an exceptional and rare hand carved coat of arms.  This masterpiece is exquisitely hand carved from mahogany solids with flawless detail, precision symmetry and natural balance.  A notable feature is the vividly carved details of both the lion’s and unicorn’s faces.  Observe how the realism of their expressions and muscular inflections are artfully brought to life by our truly gifted master carver.  Producing this level of detail in such a flawless manner surpasses many sculptures found in museums throughout the world.  To fully compliment the beauty of this masterwork, a proprietary multi-step finishing process is uniformly applied.  This provides the splendid warm brown mahogany color to show with the fully beauty of its wood grain. 

This masterwork follows the exact heraldry order.  The crest or top section, is the crowed lion of Britain.  The Torse or wreath, section below the crest, is the king of England’s royal crown.  The section below the Torse, the Helm, is the authentic design of the king’s helmet.  The primary element of this coat of arms, the shield,  is quartered into four sections.   Quarter one, upper left side, consists of three fleur de lis, representing when King Edward III laid claim to the French throne.  The second quarter on the upper right, has a lion rampant within a double treasure, Gules for Scotland.  The third quarter on the bottom left, Azure, a harp or stringed Arent for Ireland. The forth quarter on the lower right, Gules three lions passant guardant in pale or for England.   The shield is encircled by a Garter symbolizes the most notable order of the Garter, established by Edward III in 1348.  The words around the Garter, written in Latin, translated mean, “shamed be he who thinks evil of it”.  The supports to the left and right side of the shield consist of a lion on the left, guardant, symbolizing Britain and to the right is the unicorn Argent with chains to contain the evil within.  The compartment or ground, the base section has a Motto written in French translated means; “God and my Right”.
