~ Carved Vegetable Ivory Horse Button ~

This newest button that I've carved is a very handsome horse head made from vegetable ivory. Initially I had planned to carve the button as a Zebra head but the soft buttery brown color of the vegetable ivory I was using just didn't fit. Instead it makes a very good looking color for a horse. I used a wood burner to darken the horse's mane a bit for contrast, and inlaid a bakelite eye as well. The button measures a hair under 1 1/4 inches so that it slips nicely through the larger Linley measurer loop, making it an NBS medium in size. I carved a self shank onto the back and inscribed my signature and the date there as well.

Shipping Policy

I now am offering 1st class shipping with delivery confirmation free of charge , or discounted priority shipping. But please wait for an invoice so I can adjust the total accordingly. Please note that insurance is HIGHLY advised but the charges will be added to the total due. I will not be responsible for what happens to a package once I deliver it to the post office so I definitely recommend paying the extra few dollars for insurance. I do my utmost best to get your items shipped the day following my reciept of payment but there are times when life gets in the way and I may need up to 4 days to get to the post office, anything beyond that and I will contact you.
