So much of our everyday activities bring us
in contact with various containers, cups, bowls, etc... They present
themselves to us in many shapes and sizes and we are often only interested in
what is inside: water, coffee, food...However these vessels often hold their own
value. Jeffrey Spring explores these shapes and forms, both man made and
formed by nature. Working with the artisans at Modern Art Foundry they
create works of art experiencing the instinctual and visceral sensation
regarding how we feel about our surroundings…

. The ancient art of “lost wax” casting,
practiced for over 4000 years, is the most precise metal casting technique in
existence, ensuring accurate reproductions of the original sculpture with
exquisite detail. Artistic and labor intensive often taking 4-8 weeks, this
process builds subtle variations in color, finish, size, and shape bringing
ultimate value into every creation.
