Here is a fantastic portrait capturing the dashing Confederate J.E.B. Stuart, General of Robert E. Lee's cavalry. Notice the plummage on one side of his hat and the other upturned. He was handsome and very dangerous. Knowing the Shenendoah Valley so well he could take his forces anywhere he wanted and vanish. At Gettysburg he vanished from Lee which was not such a good thing. Now to match up in the same genre with the fabulously popular Robert E. Lee, Line of Battle is very proud to add this new sensation to its hall of honor for those great Americans of courage. You be the judge. Nuff said.

An unusual feature of this rendering is the facsimilie signature, but reading

"Yours to count on, J.E.B. Stuart".

Please disregard the the HMS Victory watermark. It really isn't there. You just think it is. Using ultra heavy-weight, acid free, 100% cotton laid papers (provided by the same company that supplies the U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving), this is a reproduction by skilled lab techs using the finest equipment extant. The image size not counting the text is about 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Winning bidder to pay $6.00 s&h.

Please read very carefully. As seen above, for an additional $65.00 you may elect to have JEB arrive in the museum quality conservation frame. It is a 12 x 15 inch antique gold hardwood frame with matching inner frame (known as a fillet). The matting is of a butternut SUEDE (light gray with a touch of sky blue) to match the color AND TEXTURE of his uniform. These are exorbitantly expensive to have done custom made (about treble the cost), and are used for our museum mountings. It will come with the proper hinged hanging mounts and vinyl coated wire & bumpers. All you need is a hammer or a very tough fist. Or for an additional $8.00, as seen below, the winning bidder may elect to have hin arrive in the gray and gold beveled double 11 x 14 inch mat with backing as shown ready to pop into a ready made frame of choice as pictured below. Either available in My Store.
