THE HANDLING FEE: I can snipe with the best of you and love those .99 cent deals, but being seller has been an eye opener. Photos sell the items so I needed an expensive camera. Listings cost me about $0.50 each, and more is taken when the item sells (usually at least 10%). Then Paypal gets its cut. Now let's talk time: I shoot photos, edit them, research the item (this can take days in some cases), write the description (on mostly one of a kind items and wrestling with catankerous software), email with bidders, watch the auctions (obsessively?bad as the stock market), send invoices, scrounge up shipping supplies, print labels, pack the item, and notify the postman. Finally, there is feedback. Whew! This is why there is a handling fee, because otherwise I am actually paying to send the item to you. The fee is posted clearly in each listing. It is already included in the total shipping.
Orders over $50.00 will require insurance (varies by cost)and signature confirmation (1.75).
TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: First let me apologize. I just can't do it. Don't know the rules, need to keep it simple, have been burned. It is me...really...not you. Here is what you do. Get a friend in the US who has verified Paypal make the purchase for you and have it sent to their address. Then get your friend to mail that precious item to you. Too many frauds are ruining it for good folks. Like people who abuse pain drugs(personal peeve...I digress).
PAYPAL: Don't whine, just get a PAYPAL account. It is free and easy for buyers.
POSTAL MONEY ORDER is this only kind you may use. Let me know within 3 days by email if that is what you are going to do. If I have to wait too long for payment I get confoosed. Shipping:
SHIPPING CHOICES: WE ARE NOW SHIPPING FIRST CLASS OR PRIORITY. If you want it fast, go with priority. First class requires a trip to the post office and I will not do this more than 2 times a week. If you want next day shipping, that may be do-able if my schedule permits, so check with me.
THE POST OFFICE DOES NOT CONSIDER AN ITEM MISSING UNTIL IAT HAS BEEN MISSING FOR 30 DAYS AND NEITHER WILL I IF YOU CHOOSE FIRST CLASS. Priority allows very fast shipping and delivery confirmation, so we can both know where your item is.
I reserve the right to require Priority shipping, insurance, and/or signature confirmation on any of my items. I will advise you before doing this, and you may back out of the sale at any point if you wish.
Most of the time I can ship the first business day after getting your payment. However, please allow me three business days plus shipping time to you before you get excited. If you have a rush need, talk to me, I will always try to accommodate you. If I am delayed in shipping I will refund some of your shipping, but that is a decision made case-by-case.
I will not ship to an unconfirmed address. Please don't write to me after you bidded on an item and won it without reading the fine print and beg me to change my shipping policies. They are not fussy or expensive because I want to make your life difficult.
RETURNS: Must be returned postmarked within 7 days of receipt, in original condition, shipped at buyer's expense.
I WILL COMBINE SHIPMENTS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE UP AS LONG AS THE COMBINED WEIGHT DOES NOT COST MORE. IF IT DOES, I WILL ONLY CHARGE THE STRAIGHT COST OF THE ADDITIONAL WEIGHT OF THE ITEMS. HANDLING FEE AND OR INSURANCE IS ONLY CHARGED ONCE FOR THE TOTAL VALUE OF WHAT IS PURCHASED EVERY 7 DAYS.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND: This site came about as a result of my wanting my mother-in-law's estate to be put into the hands of people who will care about the items and really enjoy them. I completely support the auction format because the item goes to the one who wants it the most. I do not deal in high-volume stuff.
