Cellini “Novara” collectable
This auction is for full-size (professional) model (41/120) of piano accordion
producer of which is Cellini (Italy). History of accordion is unknown.
Accordion is more than 75 years old. When accordion was “young” it was
snow-white. Now it is slightly yellow. No dingy places. There is only one
chip of pearled covering on the back of bass section (See photo).
Keyboard is 19 ¼ “long. It means that one key is ¾ “wide. (Piano key has ⅞”).
Weight of accordion is ~20.5 lb (9,3 kg).
The accordion is brought in playable and – the most important – listenable conditions.
There are 4 sets of treble reeds, 5 sets of bass reeds. Reeds are from steel and hand filed.
Plates with broken reeds replaced and all reeds were carefully tuned by means of
“KORG” AT-12 (Auto Chromatic Tuner) and then rewaxed.
Most accordion manufacturers now make bass machine with the 5th omitted from the 7th chord,
but this accordion have all 4 tones in the 7th chord.
Accordion equipped with octave coupler sliding at edge of keyboard by means of which
one set of reeds may be thrown on or off. The original handle of the coupler (or strip of
metal with projecting tabs) were lost. I made it myself. I don’t like high sound and don’t use the coupler.
All 409 Rhinestones are on its places. It really looks good!
No case. Special double case worked out for shipping this beauty.
In spite of all above the accordion is on sale “as is”.
