Each is built, according to my specifications, by a traditional European manufacturer 
who has over 50 years of experience creating musical instruments. 
All instruments are unique in their design and craftsmanship 
and are exclusively available from me. 
Some accessories, like the Piezo-Pickups for the mandolins, 
have been developed exclusively for Celtic Star.

The 
Celtic-Star
Irish Bouzouki

is a relatively recent additon to the tradition of Irish Folk Music, it has become 
extremely popular and is by now an absolute must in every band playing in the Irish style. 
More often than not the Bouzouki has already replaced the guitar… 

The Celtic Star-Bouzouki features a solid spruce top finished in high-gloss amber 
plus beautiful marquetry around the sound hole. 
Body and neck are made from European maple, finished in mahogany. 

All the woods normally chosen for Violin making! 
Superb tonewood!
The neck features an integrated adjustable truss rod. 

The fingerboard is made from rosewood.

The scale length measures 660 mm (26 inches) with 22 frets.

The bridge is made from masaranda, the inlay from ebony. 

The bridge features an intergrated Piezo-Pickup, which has been 
developed especially for these instruments. 

The additional 3-band EQ-system is purchased from the same maker
who supplies these systems to the manufacturers of Segovia and Garrisson guitars. 

Gold plated and smooth working machineheads from Yamaha supplier!

Custom made tailpiece made from massive(!) brass with a wider string spacing  for a straight guiding over the bridge (for an excellent sustain...and against slipping strings!!).
The instrument is manufactured completely from solid wood. 
Customary tuning is done in G-D-A-E also G-D-A-D 
(G- and D-strings are octaved)
The Celtic-Star Bouz is an impressive instrument and stands with pride beside instruments several times more expensive!!

Developing these instruments was a joyful experience and I hope

My prices are extremely low. I import and sell directly from the manufacturer,
