This piece by Charlie Lisk is rarer than about any face jug he has made.  This is a Carolina Cameo decorated pitcher dated from 1988.  This pitcher was turned in white porcelain clay and signed on the bottom "Charles Lisk, Vale, NC."  Judy Petrie, of Carolina Cameo, then decorated the piece with porcelain paint.  The following is an exerpt from http://www.hiltonhomeplace.com/judypetrie.htm:

"Judy began her craft more than twenty years ago on pieces turned for her by Boyd S. Hilton. After his death, various potters including Lisk, Ellington, B. R. Hilton and others have produced pots for Judy to decorate.  Cameo is a rare art form. A bas-relief design is built up, layer upon layer, by painting freehand with porcelain. The brushwork is applied to wheel turned pottery creating a variety of forms. The exterior glaze colors are green, brown, blue, and blue green. Red and black are occasionally used for special pieces."

The pitcher is in perfect condition and stands 7.5" tall.  Please email me with any questions.
