Charleston, SC, Souvenir Spoon, Horse and Carriage This souvenir spoon is from Charleston, SC and shows a horse drawn carriage in the circular pendant hanging from the heart shaped handle. The spoon is almost 3 and three fourth inches long. On the back of the stem are the marks: "Fort" and "USA" in addition to a "c" in a circle and an "f" in a circle. There are no marks to indicate the metal content. The circular pendant contains the words "Charleston" and "SC" as well as the horse drawn carriage. The pendant appears to be made of glass over another substance (enamel?) and is a brownish yellow in color (with one small area appearing lighter than the other color, which could be considered a flaw). The spoon bowl has some tiny round areas of what could be tarnish, although it looks more like water spots. I welcome any questions that you may have.
