Made by the Federal Glass Company, Columbus, Ohio, circa 1900 and part of the Wabash series is the master or main platter to a children’s toy glass ABC ICE CREAM set.
This oval pressed glass platter displays a large dish of ice cream in a leaf-decorated dish, complete with a spoon. The words, ICE CREAM, are above the dish and the letters have an icicle-like type font. This border is decorated with a rambling leaf vine.
This platter is well done; the pressed pattern is highly detailed and has a crisp & clear image. It is 5 ¾” long and 4 ½” wide and in great condition with no cracks or chips.
