Chinatown Ballads by Wallace Irwin. Duffield and Company 1906, 1906. First ed.  No DJ. Stereotypical ballads depicting Chinese American life in San Francisco's Chinatown - but these also deal with some very real events - The bubonic plague which hit San Francisco in 1900 (and which first affected Chinatown) and the earthquake of 1906. Not exactly politically correct by current standards. Illustrated with eight glossy plates from drawings by E.C. Peixotto. 81 pgs. Light cover soiling and mild general wear. Old owners name and date. Some very light internal soiling.
