Absoltely gorgeous, heavy brass wall-hanging Chinese motif brass fan. Or...it's a trivet. Hard to tell what the genuine utility is, but it is 12' wide, and quite impressive and heavy.
Discovered in my late mother-in-law's estate, which was filled with high-quality jewelry and boutique items, ranging from diamond bracelets to art masterpieces. She was a woman of elegant and expensive tastes, which speaks to the quality of this piece in particular.
