I am the daughter of an Artist, in its most complete and absolute meaning.
It is with great pride and honor that I present many of my father’s paintings.
Born in Merziforn, Turkey in 1926, Balentz created over 5,000 pieces of artwork most of which were purchased and showcased throughout the world.
His artistic education included achieving a Fine Arts Degree from the Fine Arts School in Paris, France and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in American Fine Arts from the Washington School of Art.
My father was gifted, inspired and dedicated to art since youth; he always said.” I have no choice but to paint. I would be lost without it because I would leave nothing behind for mankind.”
His creations emerge from an unyielding passion for life with stirring emotional interpretations of people, imagery, and events. He purposefully blended his life experiences with his cherished and treasured Armenian heritage.
Upon his passing in Newport Beach, CA in 1999, Balentz had achieved what many artists aspire to attain; revered communion between the soul of the artist, the spirit of his work, and the heart of the people.
