ChopSaver Lip Balm.
For Musicians with Lips.

What is ChopSaver?
ChopSaver is a lip balm. But to say ChopSaver is “just another lip balm” is like saying a Ferrari is “just another car”! ChopSaver is an all-natural herbal lip care product created Dan Gosling, a 20 year professional trumpet player.
What does it do?
Satisfied customers will tell you ChopSaver helps deal with lip swelling, chapping and soreness better than any other product. Less discomfort and decreased recovery time means it can actually help you play better.
What’s in it?
It’s full of good things like shea and mango butter, aloe, vitamin E and herbs including arnica, calendula, comfrey and white willow. No petroleum and no harsh chemicals! The fragrance is a refreshing blend of four citrus oils. Here is a more complete list of ingredients:

No animal fats or petroleum
What’s wrong with petroleum?
Gasoline, kerosene, motor oil and petroleum jelly. They all come from the same source. Yuck! Need I say more? You find petroleum in lots of skin care products, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for you. Read what some experts are saying:
“Conventional lip balms contain petroleum and sometimes alcohol, both of which dry the sensitive skin on your lips.” Marie Noel Mandile - Natural Health Magazine, August 2003
“The inventor of lip balm, Dr. C. D. Fleet, , started an unfortunate trend by using petroleum jelly in his Chap Stick lip balm, and it's only become clear in recent years just how ineffective petroleum jelly is as a lip balm. At best, since petroleum jelly isn't absorbed by the skin, it provides only a short-term fix for dry, chapped lips. And since it keeps the skin from breathing, it can -- if used frequently -- actually make your lips more chapped. If you’re looking for a lip balm that can actually heal chapped lips you should consider lip balm made with shea butter.” John McDermott – EzineArticles
Why are the herbs so important?
Plants and herbs have been used for thousands of years all over the world. Every culture on earth has used them for healing every malady known to man. Even many so-called "western medicines" trace their origins to plants.
I’m a woodwind player. Why should I use ChopSaver?
ChopSaver stays on your lips and won’t gunk up your reeds. Flute players love it too. Many use it while they play. And if you need to remove it, it wipes off easily. Read what the pros are saying about it:
David Bilger - Principal Trumpet, The Philadelphia Orchestra
"ChopSaver is terrific! I am glad that there is now a product available that is designed for those of us who rely on our chops on a daily basis. ChopSaver helps make my chops feel great everyday, even when they have been abused by bad weather or a Mahler Symphony."

Christopher Dudley - Principal Trombone, Baltimore Sym Orchestra
"I've got to thank you for coming up with this. Between playing lead in the orchestra on many classical and pops concerts and doing a lot of outside engagements, I am working my tissues hard. Your ChopSaver has given me much better recovery time and protection than anything else I've tried! Congratulations!"
Michael Sachs - Principal Trumpet, The Cleveland Orchestra
"ChopSaver is fantastic! It's now the only thing I'll use on my lips. ChopSaver helps my lips feel supple and strong especially during periods of heavy playing or cold weather."
Joseph Alessi - Principal Trombone, New York Philharmonic
“After a long day of playing, combined with dry weather in the middle of January, I use CHOPSAVER. It makes my lips feel so good. It really works!!!! The next day, I am ready to go again with fresh chops. Thank you CHOPSAVER!!!”
Jay Friedman - Principal Trombone, Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Richard Graef - Asst. Prin. Horn, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
"ChopSaver is great stuff! It keeps the lips feeling soft and hydrated without that waxy feeling. After a hard concert it rejuvenates and refreshes the lips, and gets you ready for more playing. It is the only lip balm I carry on stage."
Paula Engerer – E Horn/Asst Prin Oboe, Phoenix Sym Orchestra
“When my lips are sore, swollen and chapped during heavy weeks, I glob on the ChopSaver! The healing properties of ChopSaver make my chops feel great the next morning! Your formula is non-sticky, non-waxy and non-greasy, just nice and smooth! Thank you for helping me get through challenging weeks!”
Mercedes Smith - Prin Flute, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet
“My name is Mercedes Smith and I recently discovered ChopSaver. The closest place I can get ChopSaver is Carolyn Nussbaum’s flute shop in Dallas, TX. We need it here, in Houston, too! I’m going to continue buying your product no matter how far I have to go to find it since it is so great."
Karen Evans Moratz - Prin Flute, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
"Chopsaver to the rescue! I am a bona fide lip balm addict, as many flutists are. Chopsaver is really the only product I've tried that soothes and repairs lips without feeling waxy or sticky. Its lightness and natural scent mean that I can even use it while I'm playing. Thank you!"
Jeffery Zook - Piccolo, Detroit Symphony Orchestra
"I love ChopSaver. It feels natural on my embouchure and helps keep my lips supple for all the high notes! "
Caroline Hartig - Professor of Clarinet, Michigan State University
"ChopSaver is terrific! It is not only for brass but great for woodwinds as well. It is cool and smooth and especially effective after a lot of playing in concentrated amounts. I have it in my case all the time now and it has replaced the other products I used to use. I recommend it to everyone!"
Richard H. Cox, MD, PhD - Author: "Managing Your Head and Body So You Can Become a Good Musician" "There are few products that I endorse without reservation- but Chopsaver is definitely one of them! This product is compounded with healthful ingredients for lips that are used and abused in the service of music. I have proven the therapeutic value of Chopsaver with students, professional musicians, and on myself now for many months and have found no one disappointed with the results. Keeping healthy lips is much better than attempting to repair neglected ones. Chopsaver belongs in the repertoire of every lip-using musician right along side their music and instrument!"
Emily Ludwig – Clarinet, Northmont Band, Clayton, Ohio "I have played clarinet for 7 years. After a long day of "band camp" or just practicing at home, it feels great to put on ChopSaver. Musicians all over the world should enjoy ChopSaver!" |
