Up for auction here is the Biography of Chris Farley. The book is written by his brother and has a ton of interviews/comments with many of Farley's friends. Chris Rock, David Spade, Lorene Michaels, Tim Meadows and numerous others.
You're probably like me and knew that Tommy Boy was a great movie and loved his work on SNL. You knew he died of a drug overdose, but probably had no idea of how crazy/sad his life really was. The book spills all the dirt on his truly sad life. The amount of drugs he did, the reasons and the "condition" he was in during some of his scenes.
This is a must read for any "Tommy Boy", Farley or SNL fan!

| Synopsis | No one dominated a stage the way Chris Farley did. For him, comedy was not a routine; it was a way of life. Fans knew Chris as Saturday Night Live's sweaty, swaggering, motivational speaker, or as the irresistible Chippendales stripper. His family knew him as sensitive and passionate, deeply religious, and devoted to bringing laughter into others' lives. But Chris did not know moderation, either in his generosity toward friends or in the reckless abandon of his drug and alcohol abuse. For ten years, Chris cycled in and out of rehabilitation centers; ultimately, despite three hard-fought years of sobriety, addiction took his life at the tragically young age of 33. Here he is remembered by family, friends, and colleagues--an evocative and harrowing portrait of a gifted and kindhearted man ultimately torn apart by the demons inside him.--From publisher description.

| | Publisher's Note | A portrait based on personal stories by friends and family members traces the late comedian's passionate dedication to bringing laughter into the lives of others, his successes on SNL and in numerous top films, and the incapacity for moderation that led to his fatal battle with drugs and alcohol.
