One of a kind jewelry, hand-crafted by a mother and daughter in California.

"Bracken Designs is a family business of art enthusiasts. Our original designs combine with the work of other artists, including southeast Asian silversmiths, U.S., Australian, and European glass lampworkers, and polymer clay experts from around the globe. As accents to the handcrafted beads, we use high grade gemstones, vintage beads, precious metals, and Swarovski crystals from Austria."

Citrine, Spessartite Garnet, and teeny tiny Spinel beads all come together in a color-combo I quite like.

In ancient times, Citrine was carried as a protection against the plague, skin problems, snake bites, and evil thoughts. Known as "The Merchant's Stone", Citrine is said to bring prosperity when placed in a cash register as if drawing the money there.

I like to show very large photos of our work so you can see the details, but because these enlarged photos can be misleading I also put the measurements in the item descriptions. Thanks!

Citrine (~13x8mm), Spessartite Garnet, and Spinel (~3x1mm): Unless noted otherwise, all the gemstones used in our jewelry are natural (untreated) and genuine.

22k Vermeil: Sterling silver coated with a heavy layer (at least 1.5 micrometres thick) of 10-22k gold, a technique developed by the French in the mid 1700’s. There are no base metals in Vermeil.

14k Gold Fill: 5% (1/20) of 10-24kt gold mechanically bonded to the base metal. More durable than gold-plating or gold electro-plating.

From the top of the earwire to the bottom of the beads, the earrings measure 1¾ inches.

Shipments to California locations will be charged 9.75% sales tax.
