Old Baldy (ca. 1852 – December 16, 1882) was the horse ridden by Union Major General George G. Meade at the Battle of Gettysburg and in many other important battles of the American Civil War. Born and raised on the western frontier and at the start of the Civil War, the horse was owned by David Hunter though his name during this period is unknown. Baldy was variously reported wounded anywhere from five to fourteen times during the war, starting at the First Battle of Bull Run, where he was struck in the nose by a piece of an artillery shell. Soon after, in September of 1861, he was purchased from the government by Meade in Washington, D.C., for $150 and named Baldy because of his white face.

WHEN WILL MY PRINT ARRIVE? Most photographic prints are made to order and require 3 days of in house processing after payment clears. In addition to this to this in house processing time you need to account for time in transit. USPS 1^st Class Mail takes 2-7 business days. Since we are in California USPS 1^st Class Mail to the U.S. East Coast often takes a full week, and can take longer during peak season.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL: Cost is $7.50 USPS International Delivery time 6 to 10 business days.

HOW ARE THE PHOTOGRAGHS SHIPPED?  They are shipped in a plastic sleeve and a flat stiff mailer via USPS First Class Mail.
