Civil War CSA small sword for officer

This is a substantial solid sword. A Civil war NCO style. Well decorated brass fittings. Cast guard. The scabbard is leather. 31 inch blade, 36 inches over all. It has a carbon steel blade that is well tempered and flexes nicly. Solid, not a cheap Pakistani or Chinese show piece. Constructed with a hidden tang, forged (not welded). I consider it strong enough for stage and light contact but would not recommend it for full contact live steel combat. As with any weapon, the suitability or unsuitability for any use is the responsibility of the user. No use whatsoever is endorsed. Original list of $145. I am clearing some warehouse stock. The sword is new but has been in storage for some time. There may be tarnish, the leather may be dry, but no rust or other problems. Blade is not sharp as shipped but can be sharpened.
