As can be seen this is a very old pair of spectacles and a partial case. I am not a "spectacle" expert, but in my research, these old type with the hook end design and the oval lenses suggests a circa Civil War Era 1860s for these spectacles. This pair of spectacles closed measures approx. 5.5", and that includes the folded bows from tip to tip closed. The actual oval lenses measures approx. 1"x 1.5". There are no markings on the metal. These "could" be gold, but I doubted it and didn't have them tested (if they are gold, this is a home run! for the viewer). I think these are brass or some other sturdy alloy that was well gilded. There is an incomplete leather glass case with this item, but no markings on that either. To me its a plus that there is even a partial case. This item has minor, normal expected wear, and there is some minor expected scratching to the lenses. I consider this item to be in overall good condition for its age and the minor wear. I did try them on, just curious for the lenses and they did help me read the small print, even after all these years! I am pleased to offer this rare pair of old spectacles for consideration. I don't often offer spectacles, but these ones were so nice and so old, I decided to give it a shot. I am pleased to offer this appealing old pair of spectacles for consideration. I DO NOT sell to Poland or Spain. The mail is too slow and complaints are too high, mail delivery rates have been 1-2 months!. Postcards are shipped in cardboard and rigid plastic sleeves to protect from damage, I DO NOT profit from postage.

The postage cost for outside the US is $3.00 for postcards in the rigid protector. Please inquire regarding postage rates for other items outside of the US.
