Here is what I believe is a Civil War Era Saddle Bags. When Laid out flat, it has an over length of 39". Each Bag is approx 10" X 9", which are fairly small by todays standards. One of the Tie Holes is torn, but could be resewn, as it is all there. There is heavy alligatorig to the surface. Under on of the flaps on the top of one of the bags is is stamped, WORCESTER and under that GRATON. There may also be something stamped under Greaton, But Cannot make it out. These are not mint as they are very very very old. The leather could use a could cleaning and saddle soaping. Very old and very nice. I am not an expert in this area. I am also thinking seeing that this is not marked US, it may a Confederate piece. But, again, not 100% sure. I am listing a bunch of photos, so please all photos and ask questions you deem appropriate. As with all of my auctions,,,,,,,,,,********NO RESERVE********. So, if you want it, BID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! High bidder pays shipping and thanx for looking.
