Under The Southern Cross
presents another quality item and a fair price.

A History of the Laurel Brigade
Originally the Ashby Cavaly
of the Army of Northern Virginia
and Chew's Battery.
By William N. McDonald.

First printed in 1907, A History of the Laurel Brigade: Originally the Ashby Cavalry   of Northern Virginia and Chew's Battery  presents a nearly contemporaty view of the lauded unit of Confederate horsemen.
Recruited from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (with many troops volunteering from nearby Maryland), this Confederate cavalry unit fought under General  Stonewall Jackson
early in the Civil War. Led by one of the grandest "cavaliers" of them all - General Turner Ashby - until his death in early 1862, the unit eventually formed part of General J.E.B Stuart's cavalry corps, moving back and forth between the Tidewater and the Valley as military necessity dictated.

Brand spanking new!
Paperback.

Gift giving season is just around the corner...wouldn't this
make a great gift for the civil war buff in your life?

Hi,

My husband and I are both reenactors with an Headquarters staff, of which I am the cook. You can usually find me in camp cooking for anywhere between 8 to 16 guys. We are both old hands at camping in whatever weather is thrown at us.

We also present for Museums, National Parks, Historic Homes with the occasional Round Table and Invitation events. A number of Museums throughout the US have purchased my garments either for display or for their living historians to wear. We are first and foremost historians, and we LOVE what we do!

Our reputation is important to us, and we have worked hard to keep our prices fair and reasonable.
