The Holton 376 A Classic Horn for Orchestra or Band
This horn uses the valve slide arrangement championed by innovative New York horn player, Lorenzo Sasone. The B-flat valve slides are on top of the F slides. This configuration makes it possible to empty condensation from any slide without removing another.
After many days work, this horn looks and sounds good and is once more ready to play. The lacquer shows normal wear and some discoloration from soldering, but is mostly intact. If the unlacqured sections are polished with Flitz twice a year, it should last for many years.
The valves and slides work well, and I have removed most of the dents. It was necessary to cut and patch the leadpipe to repair a dent and remove an obstruction (see picture), but the result of all this work has pleased me, and I think it will please you too. There are no dents which adversely affect the playability of this horn.
While not new, the case which I am supplying with this horn fits it and is quite usable. Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail, following the recommendations in the guide to shipping French horns which I published on EBAY.
